Legend is a dynamic filmmaker and author from Detroit, MI, making major strides in the film industry with his unique storytelling and unwavering commitment to addressing social issues. He published his first book, "A Street Writer’s Journal," in 2000, which marked the beginning of his creative journey. In 2006, after discovering his passion for film, he ventured into directing local music videos, eventually writing impactful novels like "Everything, But Not Enough" and "When Her Walls Talk." Pursuing a B.A. in Film and Digital Media at Eastern Michigan University at the age of 40, he has since produced thought-provoking films such as "Asbury Park," "Black Lies," "Absence of Innocence," and "City Boy," all of which explore crucial social themes. With his latest work, an adaptation of his novel, "When Her Walls Talk," Legend has solidified his reputation as a profound storyteller whose films resonate deeply and foster important conversations.

Queen is a Detroit native who has made a significant impact in the city's hair and beauty scene for over a decade. Overcoming a challenging childhood, she pursued higher education at Michigan State University. After leaving the university, she wholeheartedly dedicated herself to her passion for hairstyling, establishing herself as a successful entrepreneur known for her innovative approach in the beauty industry. As a renowned celebrity hair and makeup artist, she seamlessly transitioned into the world of cinema, taking on dual roles as a producer and hair and makeup artist for the feature film "When Her Walls Talk." Alongside her husband, Legend, Queen is poised to lead B613 Studios into the future, where she blends her artistic vision with sharp business acumen, continuing to shape the landscape of beauty and film.

CARMEN MORRELL

Producer | Assistant Director

Carmen D. Morrell  works with B613 Studios, contributing to the development and production of film projects.

 

She began her media career producing podcast content, where she developed a passion for storytelling and production planning. Then under the mentorship of award-winning director Legend, founder of B613, Carmen expanded into film production, gaining hands-on experience bringing creative visions to life.

 

Her work includes the feature film I Am Who I Am (2025), Just A Girl (2026) and Walls (2026). Carmen is also a serial entrepreneur, bringing strong leadership and organization to every project she supports.

JALISSA HUGHES

Cinematographer | Gaffer

Jalissa Hughes, a lifelong film enthusiast, was born with a passion for cinema that blossomed in her childhood, where she delighted in frequent trips to the movies, memorizing scenes and replaying stories in her mind. Over the years, she transformed her love for film into a successful career, collaborating with talented teams and learning from some of the industry's most renowned figures. As the cinematographer for feature films such as "Black Lies," "City Boy," and "When Her Walls Talk," Jalissa has established herself as a skilled visual storyteller. In addition to her work in feature films, she has directed music videos and collaborated with national talent, further solidifying her reputation as a versatile and dedicated professional in the world of film.
